How much does a plumber cost in Boise?
It depends on the job, which is why we quote flat rates in person rather than guessing over the phone. The plumber diagnoses the problem, gives you a written price for each option, and nothing starts until you approve it. There is no hourly meter running while you decide.
Do you charge a service or trip fee?
We charge a modest diagnostic fee to come out, find the problem and give you a written quote. If you go ahead with the repair, that fee is applied to the job.
Are you licensed and insured in Idaho?
Yes. Clearwater Plumbing Co. holds Idaho Plumbing Contractor License PLB-C-10842, issued through the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses, and carries general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. Certificates are available on request.
How fast can you get here for an emergency?
A plumber answers our emergency line around the clock. For active leaks, sewage backups and burst pipes we dispatch the nearest technician immediately; in Boise and Meridian that’s often within the hour, and we’ll give you an honest arrival estimate for the outer valley.
Why does my water heater keep failing in the Treasure Valley?
Hard water. Minerals settle to the bottom of the tank as sediment, insulating the burner and making the heater work harder until it fails early. Annual flushing helps; a water softener helps more. Our water heater and softener pages explain both.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?
If the tank itself is leaking, replacement is the only fix. If the problem is a thermocouple, gas valve, element or thermostat and the heater is under about ten years old, repair usually makes sense. We check before recommending and give you both prices.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every plumber and apprentice on a Clearwater job is an employee trained to our standards. We occasionally coordinate with an electrician or excavator on larger projects, but the plumbing is done by our people.
Will you pull a permit?
When the code requires one, yes. Water heater replacements, repipes, sewer line work and gas piping all need permits in the Treasure Valley, and we schedule the inspection as part of the job. The permit cost is included in your quote.
What warranty do you offer?
Repairs carry a written parts-and-labor warranty, and new installations carry the manufacturer’s warranty plus our own workmanship warranty. The specific terms are printed on your invoice.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through third-party lenders, with promotional no-interest and fixed-rate plans subject to credit approval. Ask your plumber or see our financing page.
